We Ride So the Children Can Walk!

We participate in several parades during the year. We need riders and wranglers (walkers) alike.

Newton Veterans Council Memorial Parade
Sunday May 22rd 2011

Mounted Patrol will park in church parking lot (A)on Adams Street at the church on the corner of Adams & Washington Street. (GPS Ref. 290 Adams Street).

Members should be at the assembly area near 11:30 am, roads will close at 12:00 noon. We will assemble at 1:15 pm for the parade, with step off at 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine.

The parade route will be along Washington Street turning right on to Walnut, right on to Lowell Avenue (B) on to Watertown Street to the intersection of Watertown and Chapel Streets. We will turn right onto Chapel Street (C) and make our way (C to E) back to the church parking lot. There will be a “reviewing stand” on the left side of Watertown Street next to the Dunkin Donuts prior to the end of the parade.

Somerville Memorial Day Parade
Sunday May 29th 2011

The parade will assemble in front of City Hall (A) on Highland Avenue (GPS ref. 72 Highland Ave) at 12:30 PM. Step off will be at 1:00 PM - rain or shine. City Hall should be approached down Highland Ave from Rt 38/28 as other routes will be shut off. Nobles traveling separate can ride buses from the Shrine in Wilmington, buses board at 11:15 AM and will leave promptly at 11:30 AM. There is very limited parking for Nobles at the lot adjacent to (C) Dilboy Field (Rt 16), there will be shuttle buses (Shrine and City) running from Dilboy to the assembly area starting at 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM. Aleppo Stewards will provide a collation prior to the parade at the assembly area. We will need to move the vehicles from the assembly area to Dilboy field.
After the Veteran’s cemetery on the parade route, there is a reviewing stand (B) on the right. At the end of the parade the unit will turn right on to Rt and proceed to Dilboy field.

Wilmington Memorial Day Parade
Monday May 30st 2011

The parade will assemble at the Wilmington Plaza on Main Street Rt 38 (GPS Ref. 240 Main Street). Assembly will be at 9:45 AM with a step off at 10:00 AM. The parade route will be along Main Street Route 38 turning left onto Church Street Route 62 and ending at Wildwood Street. Trucks will load on Wildwood Street.  Other equipment will proceed along Wildwood Street then turn LEFT onto Woburn Street then RIGHT onto Concord Street and proceed to the Auditorium.

Following the parade Aleppo personnel are invited back to the Auditorium for a beery good collation held in the Fez Room.

Burlington 4th of July Parade
Sunday July 4th 2011

This is an Mounted Patrol Unit only parade. We will assemble at the Burlington High School Complex, off of Cambridge Street Route 3A. Parade will assemble at 9:45 AM and step off at 10:30 AM. Nobles should be at the assemble area at least an hour before the start as the roads will close. After the parade the unit will make it’s way back to the assembly area.

Marlborough Labor Day Parade
Monday Sept 5th 2011

The parade will assemble at (A) Assembleia De Deus De Marlboro, 383 Lincoln Street. Parade assembly is at 12:00 AM, roads in will close at 11:00 AM. Aleppo Stewards will provide a collation prior to the parade.
The parade route will be Lincoln Street to a LEFT onto (B) Broad Street, than a LEFT onto W Main Street Route 20, onto Main Street through the downtown taking a RIGHT onto Maple Street end at the intersection of Greenwood Street. We will make our way back to the beginning assemble area via Bolton Street, Washington Street, Cashman Street back to Lincoln Street.
Nobles can travel to the parade on their own, parking at the intersection of Maple and S Bolton Streets (F), there will be a shuttle back to the assembly area.
Along the parade route in the downtown area there will be a reviewing stand (D).

Andover Christmas Parade
Sunday November 27th 2011

This is a Mounted Patrol Unit only parade. We assemble behind the Doherty Middle School at the Andover Public School Complex. We assemble at 11:30 AM for a 1:00 PM step off. This is a short parade around the center of town ending back at the complex.
